Microsoft Surface Pro, the name has quite a familiar ring to it now that the first surface pro in the series came to be launched back on the 9h of February in the United States. Microsoft surface basically represents a chain of tablets from Microsoft, featuring the Surface RT and the Surface Pro. Microsoft claims these products to be laptops with the external appearance of a laptop and promises that the best of Microsoft has been put in to create the Surface Pro.

Tracing the launch of the Surface Pro

The surface pro was first unveiled to the world on the 9th of February in the United States. The device initially was available at exclusive Microsoft outlets; however, it was later forwarded to other vendors as well. The sales approach to the device has been defined as being modest by Steve Ballmer. The above quite evidently is true as the device can be seen to follow a gradual process of release. Even though the product was released in February, the shipments for the same got delayed till mid of March.

Product Specifications: A deeper look into the Microsoft surface Pro.The new Microsoft surface pro is a quite honestly a laptop in the face of a tablet.

The Debut of the 256 GB model is set in the lands of Japan where some of the sites can already be found quoting the price of the New Microsoft Surface Pro at 119, 800 Yen. However, there have been no formal announcements as to when can the rest of the world expect to see the 256 GB version of the Microsoft surface Pro. Steve Ballmer was right; the sales approach to the device has indeed been modest in every sense of the word.

The final verdict…. What do the critics say?

It is the same story with all the high end gadgets in the market; you can never actually think of buying them until you have heard what the critics have to say. Critics evaluate the product from every possible angle, a comparative analysis of the pros over the cons. This is what the critics have to say about the product have to say:

  • Build: Heavier than the average tablet but a lot lighter than the ultrabooks whose market it intends to capture. The overall build of the New Microsoft Surface Pro reflects sturdiness and slimness at the same time.

  • Screen and resolution: For a screen measuring 10.6 inches and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it is splendid. Coupled with the clear surface, here is definitely a plus one for the device.

  • Type and touch cover: Even though the type cover bend under a little extra pressure but the response and accurateness make up for it.

  • Battery: For a device that emanates that it is supposed be carried around, the New Microsoft Surface Pro reflects poorly on the battery life. The battery is good the last somewhere between 2- 3 hours and that is just not enough.

  • Stylus, Microphone and Camera: Stylus is excellent, Microphone good and the cameras decent. The stylus does an awesome, 1.9 MP will work just fine to achieve the essentials and Microphone does an excellent job.

When compared against the MacBook Air, the price doesn’t look so hefty. But then one needs to remember that it will be a lot more difficult to repair or upgrade it. It is a fantastic Product if one has a use for its features; otherwise, it’s just expensive trash.

I have never used a  tablets with Microsoft surface pro so I don't know what is difference between it and other tablets. When I read your post I feel It like a laptop. It have strong configuration but not for long battery life. I hope in new version, this will be overcome.
